- 27/10/2020I'm all for removing the "Remove a Unicorn Horn" one and "Rosette" one as well. Those usually trip me up. However, M Blood is so easy to get that I don't even mind that one???
- 27/10/2020I am guessing that the remove wings was withdrawn because of the number of players not realising that they would lose any GA on same horse... Probably easier to withdraw the objective, than to correct the GA issue...
So no point asking for removal of other objectives just cos they are difficult...

Never thought of it this way! But then that should mean the "remove a unicorn horn" should be scrapped as well as removing a horn also removes a GA ... maybe next month?
- 03/11/2020I don't understand why Howrse keeps changing things that work e.g. displays of 5E or GA, when there's lots of things that could really use some improvement.
One of them is care. I'm not sure if this happens to others as well, but when I click those buttons it doesn't always register.
For example, I go 'stroke', 'drink', 'groom' and 'feed'. By the time I click 'feed' I realise that the horse didn't drink, eventhough I clicked it. I click 'drink' again, the game begins to lag and the page reloads. Then I click 'drink' again and then the button starts shaking.
Again, not sure if this is common, thought I'd share anyway

Maybe...
Uni's are quite straight forward tho' - you put a GA on and the horn shows on the GA... so makes sense that you lose the GA when you remove the horn...
The wings issue was a little more confusing as you could put a GA on a horse that didn't have wings, and then put an MB on to turn it into a pegasus, but the wingless GA would remain in place. As the the horse has a GA without wings, it sort of "makes sense" to assume that you would keep the GA if you had to remove wings (For a long time I assumed this was the case, until I actually did it...
).
It would perhaps have made more sense, to stop us putting an MB on a horse with a wingless GA - or - warn us that we would lose the wingless GA if we turn the horse into a pegasus...?
Sounds easier to get rid of the objective...
Oh... and that's what they did...

We changed a few things during the maintenance this morning! Curious to see what has changed in the game? Take a look at the Dev’s corner! Please note that you may need to clear your browser cache to fully see the changes. - 08/12/2020I'm still strongly against using passes to increase the reindeers' skills. This will just allow pass buyers to race to the top and win all the competitions by increasing their reindeers' skills with passes. I'm a non-pass buyer so for me, my reindeer are still useless because they'll never get enough skills to win comps from rides. And even if they did somehow manage to get enough skills, someone could easily just increase their own reindeers' skills with passes to win against my own reindeer.
Please remove the option to increase your reindeers' skills with passes. It makes the competition too unfair. They can get their skills from rides like the solars. That way, we must build up their skills over time and everyone has a fair shot at winning because players don't have the opportunity to suddenly spend their passes on increasing their reindeers' skills so that they can have reindeer with skills that are hundreds, or possibly thousands of points higher than everyone else's reindeer.
Even though you have made this change to give the reindeer a purpose, the reindeer are still very much useless to most players because they have no chance of winning a competition unless the players will continuously waste thousands of passes on them to increase their skills. And in all honesty, wasting thousands of passes to keep winning like that is useless because you're still not going to get them back even if the reindeer do get a few hundred passes from placing at the end of the competition period. - 08/12/2020Retired breederOops, forgot to add this here before XD
